I am a big fan of trance. I always have been. My favorite tracks, and the ones that always make my heart sing, are those that are so raw and primal, yet so accessible. It can be really addicting to listen to a track and then play it over and over again. I think it is the same thing with music.
This is what I’m talking about. I love trance. I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I have never been able to get into trance music when I’m not drunk. I have had a few bad experiences when I was under the influence (some may remember my last night, the night I lost my virginity) and it was almost like the music didn’t really start to work for me.
If you haven’t heard of trance music, it’s like a combination of house music and trance, but with a few more beats and a twist. I like to call it a “rock and soul” music. It’s a blend of electronic sounds with beats that are more soulful than electronic. It’s hard to explain, its so damn complex.
To me, trance music is essentially a set of drums that start with a heavy thump and eventually becomes slightly more subtle. You’re not really playing drummers. You’re playing the drums and the bass is just there to keep the beat.
