I can’t believe how close to home we are right now. I was in the middle of having dinner with my coworkers when I was told by a colleague that I had a couple of beers with a friend and we were going to have some dinner. I was completely speechless, and I was on the verge of tears. I just knew I couldn’t just leave her alone.
It’s hard to believe, but I was talking to my coworker about this and she said “Oh, I thought I was the only one who knew that.” She’s the only person who knows about us, but she didn’t realize I knew about her.
So, it was a good thing that we only went to dinner with friends, but I didn’t realize it was my fault he was so drunk. Maybe she had just done something wrong. But this is a very important question about self-awareness. I think we’re all very aware of our own tendencies, but it is also very difficult to change them. And with self-awareness, we can do more than that.
There are two types of awareness-the conscious and the unconscious. You see, when you’re unconscious most of the time you forget you’re unconscious. You’re not aware of thoughts and feelings that are driving you, and the only thing you really are aware of is your own thoughts and feelings. Your habits, your routines, and your impulses are so ingrained that they don’t even register.
The conscious awareness is actually the third type of awareness. When youre conscious you can get out of autopilot and take charge. You can decide what you’re going to do next, and this allows you to think more deeply about things.
In the case of the zombie apocalypse youre still unconscious, and still not aware of your own emotions, but you know what its like to not want to eat. Thats a lot different from zombies. It is not a conscious decision, it is the subconscious decisions that get you to do what youre doing.
And although youre not consciously aware of it, youre aware of your own emotions. You are more aware of the feelings that your anger and fear are causing because you are actually feeling them. Because you are actively feeling them, you can choose to do something about them. For example, you can decide to throw an epic battle that will probably end in a huge zombie massacre. It’s not a conscious decision to do it though. Thats the subconscious.
It is when we are fully aware of our emotions that we can truly choose how to respond to them. When we are not, we are merely going through the motions. The only way to truly move forward is by actually acting on our emotions, and feeling them.
The whole idea of feeling your emotions, of course, comes from the old psychoanalyst Carl Jung. The idea is that when we are feeling an emotion, our brain is actually sending our body a signal to stop and think about it.
I get that it is, but some of us are very good at it. As it turns out, the majority of the people who play video games are not very good at it. In fact, the vast majority are just playing the game. This doesn’t mean that they don’t have real feelings about the game, it simply means that they feel like they are doing something “wrong.
